Overview

Launched in the Spring of 2026, Artists’ Bloc is a New Haven-based artist collective and culture club, encouraging cooperative approaches to cultural production and engagement, while ensuring equitable partnerships between artists and arts organizations in our region. Founded in direct response to The Building Fund’s 2025 Artists’ Needs Assessment, Artists’ Bloc cultivates creative collaboration, expression, and growth in an arts ecosystem marked by inaccessibility, isolation, and scarcity.

Mission

Together, we mobilize the power of our collective voice into the production of culturally responsive exhibitions, programs, and public art projects that reflect our shared values and priorities. We pool our shared knowledge, labor, and networks to make space for creative risk, collective learning, and the heightened community impact of our work.
